August 19th 2009, Toronto - a select group of Canada's Business Intelligence (BI) elite announced today the launch of the Best of BI Group (www.bestofbi.com), an organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievements in the field of BI.

Best of BI is an invitation-only group comprised of the very best Business Intelligence practitioners and visionaries, with the purpose to exchange ideas and to debate the latest, most important, and most controversial topics in Business Intelligence. Best of BI will meet quarterly to exchange ideas, best practices and strategies. It is an exclusive forum of dedicated BI professionals and successful IT executives whose only agenda is to help each other outperform.

The highlight of Best of BI promises to be the annual BOBI Awards, where we will recognize the best people, tools, and companies who have contributed the most to the advancement of Business Intelligence.

Best of BI Members and other BI Professionals are invited to nominate projects, people, tools and companies throughout the year. The Award Nominees for each category are then reviewed by the Best of BI Awards Committee and are short listed. Once a year, the Best of BI Members cast their vote for each category. These votes are then tallied and the Winners are announced at the Best of BI annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony.
